Congratulations to JPL

The lawsuit at JPL has won a major victory. The injunction against NASA's HSPD-12 implementation will remain in effect at JPL for the duration of the lawsuit! The ruling is here.

Congratulations to the brave JPL employees standing up for their rights. Also, many thanks to the supporters and their legal team. If you would like to make a donation to help them deal with mounting costs, see the JPL HSPD-12 website.

"Dan Stormer, the plantiffs' attorney, said the court's injunction also applies to workers at NASA's Ames Research Center in Mountain View, CA, and other NASA facilities in the nine Western states covered by the Ninth Circuit.

Stormer also said he learned after the ruling was laid down that NASA had agreed to refrain from conducting those investigations at all its facilities nationwide, though representatives with the space agency were reportedly unavailable for comment.

Rumor has it that at JSC they haven't stood down from doing the investigations. They are still having people fill out the paperwork and sign the forms.

per direction from NASA HQ, the court ruling temporarily lifted the background investigation requirement only for the 28 individuals listed in the lawsuit.
